Hello everyone, I'm Leeloo and yes I was named after the famously perfect woman sci-fi character from The Fifth Element. I was born the year after my parents saw the movie debut. I bring this up because Leeloo has become for me deeply symbolic of the most powerful woman ever to exist, the Blessed Mother of God.

St. Mary exemplifies for me and countless other women the perfect embodiment of the valiant and beautiful feminine genius. The images below show why I think Mary and my namesake both embody these traits.  The remarkable thing is that when Mary does this, she avoids the terribly sad and twisted versions of male genius on display in her era (and every era for that matter). 

This propensity for women to adopt the most broken versions of masculinity has produced acute 'femanemia' in our world today. My friend coined this word to embody the reality that women and their authentic perspectives are the healthy red blood cells of humanity which the world so desperately needs.

Battling Femanemia: The Purpose of this Site

This brings me to the purpose of this site. In the last several decades some extremely intelligent and authentic women have articulated the importance of the feminine genius finding its place as a true healing force in our world. My dream for this site is to have women who understand this need to reflect upon quotes from these beautiful female minds mixing in their own brilliance along the way.

I will do the work of curating some quotes from such writings as I've encountered in my brief life. They will range over the past several hundred years but focus especially on the brilliance of women in the last century. I will post the quotes in individual entries in the Feminine Voices Section.
